Packed even more efficiently this time, already rolling and squeezing my tshirts in the bottom of my huuuge carry on tote bag. Yet still, over 50lbs...
Visit 1: 22 lbs over
Visit 2: 6 lbs over
Visit 3: 3 lbs over
I did my new fun trick of opening my suitcase at the ticket counter and shoving things into my carry on. Place bag back on scale, still 1lb over. Really Delta/Northwest? 1lb? $90 for 1lb?! So I repeat: open suitcase, grab, shove into carry on. 50 lbs, SCORE!
Maybe I should mail just a few more things home? I'll sit tight and see about that one. Flights are on time which is an improvement from my last travel day. Had a good nights sleep and a fully tummy from lunch so should be good to go. Some of the girls came and had a goodbye lunch with me @ McAllisters today...and I was so excited to eat there one last time! Sweet tea & lemonade seem to make any day ten times better.
It was so sad to leave this chapter after being here for two whole weeks, which felt more like a month. I really feel like I moved in with the President & VP haha! Packing was a breeze luckily, but I can't wait to see all the amazing things Epsilon Omicron will do this semester. I was glad to visit this early in the year so I can watch all the progress and already have those personal relationships with the officers and other chapter members.
Now on my way to Penn State where I'll be with one of the other consultants. People are lining up to board, I think it's a small plane again but at least everyone looks pretty normal. I'm sick of sitting next to the older creepy men that smell like alcohol already.
Until next time,
xoxo Anna
