Checked my bags, and yes your bags really aren't supposed to be over 50lbs, they do care. And each time they care it's $50 which I learned the hard way. Looks like I'll be mailing home some stuff as soon I reach lan in Kentucky...I mean I only need to shave offf 22 lbs, whoops. I even got an extra "HEAVY" tag on my luggage. Hopefully where I'm staying at this first chapter is on a first floor or has an elevator.
After an hour and a half of playing on both of my BlackBerries I survived a freezing one hour flight with minimal carry-on room and now am sitting in Charlotte, NC. It's nice to be back in one of my favorite places, although it sucks knowing I'm so close to so many people that I love but can't go closer.
Three hour layovers are no fun. I've eaten and found my gate, discovered free wii-fii and so of course have been sorting through the mass of emails drowning my inbox. I have throuroughly enjoyed watching at least 5 people running by to make their planes! Secretly inside I'm cringing and having a feeling that it might happen to me sometime this semester.
So the first travel experience has been rather good thus far, but I've already learned that airports can be quite the lonely place. I've always loved going to airports & flying, and this hasn't been a bad experience but it's not as fun when there's no one to wish you off or sit with at the terminal.
I'm going to crank out some more emails and get my junk packed up to head back onto the plane! I should be landing in Lexington, KY at 3:45pm and then it really begins!
Until next time,
xoxo Anna
