Even though I am consistently exhausted in the morning, I am finding myself not really able to get to bed at a decent hour. I chalk it up to
1. being addicted to Facebook & other computer stuff and
2. trying to get some personal "downtime" in before having to go to bed.
This week's training has been unique. We've started to learn more about our chapters, daily tasks, and the nitty gritty of what we'll be doing on campus visits. I got to learn all about my chapters that I'm assigned today and am sooo looking forward to working w/ and visiting them. Tomorrow we have training with BillHighway (the system Tri Sigma is now using to handle all fianances) and with my distaste for numbers of any kind I'm sure it should be interesting.
We found a new ice cream place in town tonight, Krystal's Custard, and it is definitely the hidden gem of Woodstock if you will. I was delighted to have literally 200+ options of flavors for a blizzard/mcflurry type product...I have been living wihout my daily dose of good icecream and this was overload. After much serious contemplation I went with Blackforest Cheesecake which proved itself worthy of my order. I am awaiting our next trip so I can hopefully someday maybe try all the combos there.
I have my travel plans until the end of October pretty put in place. After my travels to KY, IL, PA & OH I will fly into Baltimore on Oct. 2 and go home for the weekend. Clemson will be playing @ UMD and I'll be going to the game w/ Nina (who'll be coming up from SC) and my good friend Brian from UNCW. I am suuuuper excited to have a social activity on my calendar as my new life has been a big adjustment from college days. I'll drive back to Woodstock so I'll have my car (yay!) Then I'll be here until fall break 10/14-10/18 in Clemson (hooray again!) then travel 'til the end of October. After that I have two chapters to visit in November, Thanksgiving break, and then one chapter to visit in December before we have semester wrap-up back here. I'll also be going home my birthday weekend (!!!) as two of my friends from high school, Steph & Jeff, will be married on the most special day of the year...November 14.
With a loaded day ahead tomorrow and starting earlier than normal, although we will get a yummy breakfast @ the Woodstock Cafe, I'm going to attempt to get myself shut down for the night.
Until next time,
xoxo Anna
